Security & two-factor authentication (2FA)

Best practices

  • Use strong, unique passwords.
  • Enable two-factor authentication for all admins and recommended for users.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Go to Account → Security.
  2. Choose TOTP (Authenticator app) or SMS (if enabled).
  3. Save backup codes.

App passwords & SMTP

  • If you use clients that don't support two-factor authentication (2FA), create app-specific passwords. Clearbox does not support OAuth.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

  • SAML/SSO integrations are available for enterprise plans.
