Mobile setup (iOS and Android)

Quick settings (summary)

  • Incoming (IMAP): clearbox.alfrolia.com — port 993 (SSL/TLS)
  • Outgoing (SMTP): clearbox.alfrolia.com — port 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL/TLS)
  • Username: full email address
  • Authentication: password or app password (OAuth is not supported). Clearbox provides built-in TLS/SSL for secure connections.

Troubleshooting

  • Authentication errors: use an app password if 2FA is enabled.
  • Sync not updating: check Background App Refresh (iOS) or battery optimization (Android); ensure IMAP IDLE/push is allowed.
  • Certificate errors: verify TLS is enabled and the server hostname matches the certificate.
